1Q Why did Pursuit Sports change its name to a trademarked name of Traxstech Corporation?
1A We felt the name change better represented the expanding product line and future growth expected from us. This not the result of a buyout or merger. The same people, product and quality are still here.
2Q Will the Lexan Rod Holder, Hold up to Salmon fishing?
2A The constant pressure of trolling will eventually stress and fatigue any plastic material. We recommend the Lexan holder for Fish discs, inline boards, lead core and planer boards. On the Lexan Holder there is an arrow and the word Rear, this needs to point to the rear of the boat for added durability. The Lexan holder is designed to use in walleye and striper fishing applications.
3Q What is the difference between straight downrigger riser and reverse style riser?
3A The straight riser will allow the Trolling Bar to slide into the mounting track left to right. The reverse riser allows the Trolling Bar to slide into the mounting track front to back.
4Q Why does Traxstech Tracks have a textured finish?
4A The Texture strengthens the material, cuts down on the glare from the sun and water. Provides a durable finish where scratches do not show as prominent as our former polished style product.
5Q What is the strap on some of the rod holders?
5A When you are using your rod holder in the flat position this strap wraps around the reel and gives one more added safety feature.
6Q How can I put my Scotty downrigger with rod holders on a Traxstech Swivel Base?
6A The bottom back side of the Scotty Rod Holder Base gets cut away by using a utility knife, simply center the base, cut up each side and across the underside edge, this will allow the base to sit on top of our swivel base and line up with the mounting holes.
7Q. How can I put a single rod holder on a rail clamp?
7A. You must drill clearance holes in the Thumbscrew holes of the rod holder, in order for the rod holder to sit flat against the rail clamp. |
